The countdown to the start of the SDG Action Week (17-28 September) to #Act4SDGs has started. There are plenty of actions you can take to accelerate the #SDGs. Last year, the UN SDG Action Campaign & partners counted 56 million actions during the Global Week to #Act4SDGs. This year, 2021, we are looking to outdo ourselves with millions more !

SDG Action Week : #TurnItAround For People + Planet !
The Global Week to #Act4SDGs (17-28 September) aims to drive collective action, mobilizing key stakeholders from all sectors to drive change while reminding world leaders that people around the world are doing their part to accelerate progress on the SDGs.
Since it launched in 2017, the Global Week to #Act4SDGs has grown from strength to strength. Their mobilization ambition for 2021 is to inspire at least 100 million people to take individual and collective SDG action – with an overall target of mobilising 1 billion actions by 2030.
In 2020, more than 56 MILLION PEOPLE in 175 COUNTRIES were inspired and mobilised to take individual and collective action, while world leaders gathered virtually at the United Nations General Assembly for the first time. The campaign reached over 223 million people, through inspirational actions demonstrating our commitment to #TurnItAround and accelerate action towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This year the week will feature a creative and open source individual action campaign, with strong social media and out of home manifestations capturing the imagination of new and younger audiences, many of whom are increasingly conscious of how they live, work, travel and consume. This year’s creative campaign will focus on putting the individual in the picture and driving home the message that there is hope beyond the pandemic and that we can all be part of the solution, inviting everyone to play their part in turning it around.
The UN SDG Action Campaign builds powerful networks of millions around the world through global campaigns, and special events. The Campaign also serves as a creative lab for advocacy, crowdsourced innovative and creative initiatives. Ultimately, our goal is to channel the power of people through growing SDG networks, to understand, commit to and act on the Goals. We aim to inspire, mobilize and connect people, networks and communities from every part of the world to act on the SDGs.
