Earth Day 2021 : 5 Can’t-Miss Events To Appreciate The Planet We Live In

Earth Day 2021 line up events
There’s only one earth. Though we should appreciate the planet 365 days of the year, earth day is  the ultimate occasion to show our plant some extra TLC (read : tender, love and care).
The theme for Earth Day 2021 is Restore Our Earth, which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. This way, the theme rejects the notion that mitigation or adaptation are the only ways to address climate change.

It is, truly,  up to each and every one of us to restore our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but because we live on it. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity.
Edible Garden City Tour

Join Edible City Tour for their second farm tour this April! Fresher than ever!

Here at Edible Green City, we are going back to basics, and re-launching our good ol’ public farm tours, like how we used to when our Queenstown farm had just opened.
The Edible Garden City Tour – Queenstown Farm. Our OG no-frills farm tour programme, with a smaller group size and a bag of fresh produce to bring home after.

Discover a fresh (pun) view of Singapore, and take a peek behind the scenes of our nation’s burgeoning agriculture industry. Join us as we share our vision for the future of farming in Singapore – under-utilised spaces, indoor farming systems, native plants and care farming.

Sip on a welcome drink brewed from locally-grown herbs, as our farmer brings you through our unique urban farming solution, including stops at our indoor microgreens room, outdoor gardens, and container farms. Join as they share their journey to becoming an urban farmer, and anecdotes of a lesser-trodden path. Learn about the closed-loop and minimal-waste model of growing vegetables that we adopt here in our urban farm, and how farming could be used as a platform to create a more inclusive and healthy society. Find out how we are reconnecting city dwellers with nature, and about sustainable farming systems such as regenerative agriculture and food forestry.

This farm tour experience is catered to adults, young adults and older children aged 13 and above. All attendees regardless of age require a ticket. Please note that the tour will be conducted in English.  (*Minimum 10 pax per session to start)
