Un Women Thailand
Youth are the voice of the future! Be an Ambassador for a day with UN Women Thailand!
Eleven women Ambassadors, together with 13 women leaders from the United Nations in Thailand, have launched the 2022 edition of the #AmbassadorForADay (#มาลองเป็นทูต1วัน) competition to advance gender equality in Thailand.

On the occasion of the forthcoming International Women’s Day 2022, UN Women Thailand wants you to be the voice of a healthier future for women and girls.
What are the values we share, and how are you taking action to make society a better place, in particular on gender equality and social issues affecting women and girls in your community, including climate change? Tell us and win a chance to be Ambassador for a Day!
What do you need to do?
Make a two-minute video about how to address a social issue* affecting women and girls in your community. Your video will be judged based on how you describe your social issue, presentation of your video and your fluency in your chosen language (Arabic, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Kazakh, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Thai).
All submissions should be made in one of the official languages of the participating embassies, shared on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or TikTok using the hashtags #AmbassadorForADay #มาลองเป็นทูต1วัน and sent by email to unrc.thailand@gmail.com.
Entries close on January 17 at 23:59 (11:59 pm) Bangkok time.

The theme for International Women’s Day, 8 March, 2022 (IWD 2022) is, “Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all. However, candidates may submit their entries either on climate action or in any other area of interest and where they are contributing to their communities on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
  • Gender equality and climate change are two inseparable issues facing today’s society.
  • Every day, women are disproportionately impacted by climate change and its devastating consequences.
  • Yet, as the most affected, women are also critical to rapid responses and prevention.
  • Every day, inspiring and resilient women are at the forefront of protecting our planet.
Tips For Recording :
  • Introduce yourself (name, title, organization, location)
  • Hold your phone horizontally
  • Keep it brief, between 1-2 minutes but no longer than 2 minutes
