RELEVANT SUSTAINABLE GOALS

Tampines Town Council Plastic Waste Collection Initiative

Tampines Town Council, in collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic want to give your plastic container and bottles a new life by shredding, melting, and remoulding them into eco park bench.

Drop off your plastic containers for household and foods at these two collection points :

1. Block 146, next to Vertical High-Tech Farm

2. Tampines Round Market & Food Centre, near the market entrance

Please wash the plastic containers properly and free from food residue..

Is Recycling Really The Solution ?

No, absolutely not ! As demonstrated over the previous decade, existing solutions and market incentives simply do not scale. The Changemakr Asia team understands that we cannot recycle our way out of the plastic challenge.

We continue to encourage everyone to start minimizing the quantity of plastic garbage they produce. However, we will only begin change if we make our preferences as sustainable consumers known.
