Daughters Of Tomorrow On A Mission To Help Single Parents Via Community-Based Childminder

Daughters of Tomorrow Home Child Minder
Sign up to be a community home-based childminder to enable mothers from low-income families in their journey back-to-work!
For years, single unwed/divorced parents, particularly single moms, have faced enormous hurdles and discrimination in attempting to make ends meet and enhance their family’s life chances, particularly in managing the dual obligations of parenting their children while working.

It takes a community-wide effort to foster better empathy and support for single unwed parents raising their children. With the help of  The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) in partnership with Daughters of Tomorrow(DOT), single parents receive more support in employment, caregiving, and child development.

RELEVANT SUSTAINABLE GOALS

Pilot Childminding Programme

The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) is partnering Daughters Of Tomorrow to pilot a childminding service that can support low-income families, including single unwed parents, who require alternative caregiving options. The pilot will operate beyond regular childcare and student care centres’ operating hours and cater to the needs of low-income parents who may have irregular work schedules.
DOT Childminding programme
This pilot programme allows parent to juggle work and their caregiving responsibilities; as most of them are seeking support for after childcare hours so that they may do shift work in front line industries.
This programme is only open for Female applicants aged 25 years old and above.

you can contribute to this pilot programme as a community-based childminder.
