Tucked behind the bushes near the coast of Aceh sub-district of Lhoong is a gate to the turbulent past. Ek Leuntie Cave recorded the recurring tsunamis that hit the northern Sumatra region for thousands of years. The cave, whose name means Bat Guano, is a tsunami time capsule.
