Too Little, Too Polluted : Open Call for 5th Human Rights Youth Challenge For Global Water Crisis

global water crisis
Water touches every aspect of development. It drives economic growth, support healthy ecosystems, and is essential and fundamental for life itself.
Around the world, 2.2 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water, 4.2 billion do not have access to decent sanitation, and 3 billion do not have access to basic handwashing facilities. In many places, gaps in access to water supply and sanitation, growing populations, more water-intensive patterns of growth, increasing rainfall variability, and pollution are combined to make water one of the most severe threats to economic progress, poverty eradication, and sustainable development.
