PETRONAS FutureTech 3.0, an innovative accelerator program that fosters and supports technology startups, has announced its expansion to the Asia Pacific region, marking the first time the program is venturing beyond Malaysia’s borders. Entrepreneurs and startups from the Asia Pacific region can now apply to participate in the PETRONAS FutureTech 3.0 program. This collaboration is aimed to unlock synergies from cross-industries expertise and maximize the value impact of the programme.

Petronas Future Tech 3.0
Petronas Ventures and Singapore-based innovation, venture, and startup enabler StartupX are collaborating to organize FutureTech 3.0, a groundbreaking platform that identifies breakthrough technologies and game-changing innovations to accelerate their implementation as practical business solutions. With the participation of seven new corporate partners including Gentari Sdn Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, DRB-HICOM Bhd, Sembcorp Industries Ltd, Hyundai Motor Company, Vitol, and Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the program’s third edition is expected to provide industry-leading practices and increased market opportunities to participating startups for region-wide growth and scalability.
FutureTech 3.0 will shortlist twenty startups to participate in a 12-to-16 week hybrid program beginning in May 2023. The program will feature masterclasses, workshops, and coaching sessions delivered by industry mentors, corporate partners, and successful global entrepreneurs.
The program’s culmination will be a Demo Day scheduled for the end of August 2023, where selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch their innovative solutions to Petronas and its corporate partners’ C-suite executives, investors, potential collaborators, and other stakeholders. This event is a fantastic opportunity for startups to showcase their ideas and explore possible collaborations with prominent industry leaders.
