The Climate Tech Hub hopes to make “bridging ecopreneurs” a reality in Indonesia’s national development goals.
Daya Selaras Group and Ecoxyztem Venture Builder have collaborated to launch the first Climate Tech Hub in Indonesia, a networking center for climate innovation. The soft launch of Climate Tech Hub took place at ECO-S Coworking & Office Space Sahid Sudirman Residence in Jakarta, coinciding with the breaking of the fast during Ramadan. The event introduced the Climate-Tech Hub and its network to environmental and startup actors, including climate-tech startups, venture capital, multinational companies, embassy representatives, and non-governmental organizations.

RELEVANT SUSTAINABLE GOALS

Indonesia’s First Climate tech Hub

The purpose of Climate Tech Hub is to create a space for all climate-tech players to work, collaborate, receive media support, and access digital tools, thereby increasing ecopreneurs’ productivity. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17, “Partnerships for the Goals.” The Climate Tech Hub area at ECO-S Coworking & Office Space includes private office rooms, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and a podcast studio for audio and video production related to the #BridgingEcopreneurs campaign. The entire ECO-S area is around 2,200 square meters, with an outdoor area of approximately 300 square meters.
Ecoxyztem, a venture builder in the climate-tech sector, has shown its commitment to driving climate innovation growth by establishing the Climate-Tech Hub as a platform for all types of collaborations. With the collaboration, more cross-institutional collaboration activities will be centralized in this location in the future.
Sixty climate-tech startups have already joined the Ecoxyztem network in Indonesia, and the collaboration with Daya Selaras Group further enhances the network, especially in terms of company and venture capital connections. Daya Selaras Group has been developing its recycling business for a long time, particularly in paper and cardboard packaging material, which creates a positive impact on the environment, adding significant value and experience to the collaboration.

The location of the Climate-Tech Hub in the center of Jakarta is expected to be an epicenter for accelerating change and facilitating meetings between startup innovation and major industry players in Indonesia. With the support of activation programs, mentoring, and facilities, the Climate Tech Hub hopes to make “bridging ecopreneurs” a reality in Indonesia’s national development goals.
In conclusion, the collaboration between Daya Selaras Group and Ecoxyztem Venture Builder is an exciting development for Indonesia’s climate-tech sector. The creation of the first Climate Tech Hub in Indonesia will provide a space for all climate-tech actors to work together, collaborate, and grow, with the ultimate goal of contributing to Indonesia’s Enhanced National Determined Contribution (ENDC) target for 2030.
