Open until July 31, 2023, the grant program is a unique opportunity for activists and groups working tirelessly to uphold the rights of women, girls, trans, and intersex people at local, subnational, and national levels.

Who Can Step Forward?

The call echoes across the vibrant landscapes of South Asia, touching Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It also ripples through East and Southeast Asia, reaching Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

What’s the Scope of The Grant?

The grants are robust, designed to make a real impact. Individual grants will be up to USD 8,000 for a period of 1 year. Organisational grants, on the other hand, offer two categories:
  1. One-year organisational grants up to a maximum amount of USD 15,000.
  2. Two-year organisational grants up to a maximum amount of USD 30,000.
There are two types of grants on offer:
  • Institutional: Covering costs such as salaries, rent, audit, and other operational expenses, this grant can also fill funding gaps for ongoing/new programmes and collaborations.
  • Programmatic: Aimed at supporting specific programmes/projects, whether ongoing or new initiatives.
