Are you an aspiring entrepreneur in Eco-Inclusive Sector ?
The SEED Starter programme guides participants from the early stages of ideation to the generation of a viable business plan used to launch an eco-inclusive enterprise. Participants join together in teams during Starter workshops to blueprint and refine their business plans with the support of peer-learning and expert guidance.
What does the SEED Starter Programme offer ?
The SEED Starter programme promotes the incubation of new eco-inclusive enterprises. Setting up a business is both an excitingand challenging task. Turning an idea into a product or service customers actually want to buy requires not only a deepdive into the market, but also business skills and bringing together the right team and partners. Considering all aspectscan be challenging. Therefore, SEED supports young teams of entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas throughthe SEED Starter programme.
How does the SEED Starter Process work ?
All SEED Starter participants consist of a team of 2-5 members. They bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. The SEED Starter guides you and your entrepreneurial team to turn your eco-inclusive business ideas into reality. SEED Starter is a three-month programme which helps participants to understand and challenge the key underlying assumptions of your business. A set of workshops and individual support from one of our trained service providers immerses participants in an unprecedented ideation journey. During the SEED Starter, participant will bring in your fresh new ideas and take the first steps to design a successful enterprise. SEED Starter Programme particularly welcome applications from women and youth.

SEED was founded at the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg by UN Environment, UNDP and IUCN as a global partnership for action on sustainable development and the green economy. SEED is based on the understanding that the promotion of social and environmental entrepreneurship is pivotal for environmentally friendly and socially inclusive development and poverty reduction.
