Anxiety – Why do I Get Triggered When Life is Good and Things Are Fine ?

While a big event or a buildup of smaller stressful life situations may trigger anxiety, it can also happen when life is good. You may have asked yourself  “why do i  have anxiety, and what causes it  ?

Feeling anxious is normal, especially when there are big event or a buildup of smaller stressful life situations, such as on the job, at home or driving in traffic. As life presents us with daily trials, anxiety will always find us anywhere. However what if you get triggered by anxiety when life is good and things are fine ? 

So here are some possible reasons that can trigger anxiety, even when life is good and you are feeling great : 

CAFFEINE
Caffeine is a stimulant, one that can give you a little boost if you need it. However, It can also cause you to feel nervous and agitated especially if you give in to the second or third cup of coffee of the day
LACK OF SLEEP
Sleep is important. A lack of sleep can trigger anxiety. Managing anxiety start long before any symptoms can be felt. Taking preventive measures, such as get at least 7 - 8 hours sleep in the night could help
SOCIAL SETTINGS / GATHERINGS
If a room fill of strangers doesn't sound like fun, you are not alone. Small talk or interaction with strangers can trigger feelings of anxiety.
CONFLICT
Relationship problems, arguments, disagreements - are all conflicts can easily trigger and worsen anxiety
SOCIAL MEDIA
While social media is less talked about trigger for anxiety, it can easily induce feeling of anxiety for many people. Constant comparison and messages about body - image, beauty, social status and success can be really hard for people to cope with.

Battling the feeling of anxiety can seem like an uphill climb. It is not necessarily always a bad thing. Being mindful and self-aware can help manage the level fo anxiety in our life
