This year marks the second edition of Refugee Week in Hong Kong, and we cordially invite you to join us throughout the month of June.
Refugee Week is an annual open-source festival held each June to celebrate the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees and people seeking asylum. Established in 1998 and coinciding with World Refugee Day (20 June), Refugee Week has evolved into a growing global movement.
RELEVANT SUSTAINABLE GOALS
This year marks the second edition of Refugee Week in Hong Kong, and we cordially invite you to join us throughout the month of June. Together, we will celebrate compassion in action through a series of events co-organized by various NGOs, independent projects, and refugee artists. Through a diverse program encompassing arts, culture, and education, our aim is to foster unity and collaboration across all communities within the city.
Refugee Week Hong Kong 2023 is made possible by the collaboration of independent projects and organizations, including Grassroots Future, The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Hong Kong (UNHCR HK), Justice Centre Hong Kong, Branches of Hope, RUN Hong Kong, Kowloon Union Church, Youth Global Network, and Christian Action Centre for Refugees.
To explore our event series and RSVP, please visit our Instagram page @refugeeweekhk, as well as the social media pages of each participating organization. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to engage and connect with you in our community!
